I made this little travel doodle kit for my daughter to keep all of her supplies handy. We found some really cool art and crafty looking material and threw together this neat little bag.
It’s just the right size to fit an A5 sketching journal in, along with her water colour paints, pencils, eraser, coloured markers and some sharpies. It’s a great little kit to throw in her handbag when travelling so she can grab out everything she needs in the car or on the plane and of course when she is away from home she has all the basics to doodle with. She can doodle her trips or holidays as a journal or just doodle to unwind during the quiet moments.
It’s great for her to use at home too. She keeps it in her room for drawing out her favourite quotes in her A4 journal of an evening. She can quickly grab it for doodling in the lounge room under the air con on hot steamy days, or to take outside on the verandah for days with lovely cool breezes.
I made this one before Christmas and I cut out another lot of material to make one for myself as well. Now I’m wistfully thinking of the places I could go with my own little travel kit, picnics, the beach, into the mountains by the creek, on retreats or anywhere really. I think it’s time to get sewing and put the next one together .
